Overview:

AVAYA voice solutions can be integrated to provide both point-to-point video and multipoint video conference calling. Standards-based solutions leverage the presence and instant messaging capabilities of the Avaya IP Softphone to communicate to and from video endpoints regardless of whether they are desk-based or room-based. Videoconferencing systems integrated by VideoCentric will then gain access to Avaya telephony features including hold, transfer, coverage and audio conferencing under the guidance of an integrated voice and video gatekeeper providing a single dial plan for voice and video. Video endpoints connect seamlessly and directly with Avaya Communication Manager (ACM) for point to point calls and through a video bridge (MCU) for multipoint calls.
