"VideoCentric has completed a major refit of its interoperability facilities meaning that customers can now compare virtually every manufacturer’s HDVC technology under one roof, on the same 65” screen and under the same lighting conditions. Although largely finished 3 months ago, two manufacturers are only just reaching the stage where their systems are acceptable to VideoCentric.

“Apart from seeing the best systems the world has to offer, this new facility gives customers the opportunity to see how their existing standard definition systems will look against the very latest 1080P systems when implemented on the same IP network or over the internet or ISDN to other sites”, said David Shimell, Sales Director of VideoCentric. “For nearly 30 years, our staff have been involved in testing between differing systems and reporting technical issues back to manufacturers and it is good that we can now share our experiences visually with customers, and in an unbiased way, before they make their investment in endpoints or infrastructure”, added Craig Brown, Technical Director.

The new facilities allow the following to be connected in H323/SIP point-to-point or multipoint configurations and demonstrated in standalone form or at the touch of a button, fully integrated with VC commander touch screen controller or 94” SMARTboard data sharing."
