To discuss pricing on our SDSL services please either call 0118 9798910 or email sales@videocentric.co.uk SDSL SDSL offers business grade symmetric Internet connectivity at 1Mbps or 2Mbps at a cost-effective price; ideal for small to medium offices and high-availability demands. SDSL contention levels are lower than ADSL but availability is heavily dependent upon telephone exchange to which you are connected. Tell us your post code/s and we’ll check the contention levels and bandwidths available to you. 10:1 provides an excellent starting point for any business looking to make the switch from a contended service, such as ADSL, and provides a valuable building block in our VidiLink service where extra bandwidth is needed. 5:1 is available in fewer locations and charged at a premium rate. Businesses benefit from fewer subscribers and therefore lower contention and higher performance and it therefore provides a cost effective way for businesses to achieve reasonably high bandwidth for medium-high use video conferencing applications. 1:1 SDSL is un-contended and so is the closest thing to a private leased line without the extra cost. Because it is a public internet service though, your VideoConferencing system or TelePresence Suite can be accessed at high speed through the web providing it with more flexibility and more rapid RoI than if it were restricted to a private network. Premium routing of VideoCentric’s SDSL connections, means that latency is lower and performance faster than many other offerings from familiar ISP names. Whether it is for a single connection or multiple links, we therefore suggest that customers contact VideoCentric rather than a local ISP, as additionally, the optional services we can offer (MCU & H.320/H.323 Gateway & PC Desktop conferencing server) are simply not available from other ISPs. Where the aggregation of multiple DSLs is required. VideoCentric’s VidiLink service allows SDSL circuits to be replicated (or mixed with ADSL), to increase total bandwidth but still maintain a single IP address. Each SDSL requires a new telephone line to be installed and exchange equipment to be configured by BT. An SDSL router will then be delivered for self-installation on to the new telephone line. Optional installation by VideoCentric will ensure that the supply of new line is co-ordinate with BT and your router will be plugged in by an experienced engineer, VC system set up, IP address configured and the complete solution commissioned and tested across the internet. For those opting for MCU and ISDN Gateway services, these will also be tested prior to engineer leaving site and a brief overview of the components, how to administer them, support them and use them will be given. |
