Lifesize End-of-Life Notifications for Flex, Video Center and 2nd Generation Phone

News item: July 3, 2018

Lifesize have announced the Lifesize Icon Flex Video Conferencing solution, the UVC Video Center inc. the Lifesize 3350 server, and the 2nd Generation Phone, end-of-life. The last day for sale will be the 1st September 2018 or whilst stocks last.

The Icon Flex was designed for small meeting spaces and huddle rooms for organisations and individuals using video collaboration applications such as Skype for Business, Google Hangouts, Cisco Jabber and Skype. The device connects via USB to a laptop to provide a higher quality experience than that of a standard laptop webcam and microphone.

For organisations looking for a solution to replace the Icon Flex for small meeting spaces or for use on their portable devices, we recommend looking at the Lifesize Icon 400/450 or the new Lifesize Dash.

The UVC Video Center is Lifesize’s on-premise recording and streaming solution, and has been the last remaining infrastructure component on sale from Lifesize since the rest of the UVC platform was announced end-of-life in 2015.

Lifesize have now made end-of-life all on-premise solutions, and all recording, streaming and other collaboration tools can be carried out securely within the Lifesize Cloud. To trial the Lifesize Cloud Record and Share solution, get in touch with us today – we will arrange for a demonstration and trial to be set up!

The 2nd Generation Phone proved to be one of the most up to date meeting room accessories of its time, putting Video Collaboration control at your fingertips.

The 2nd Generation Phone has been superseded by the Touch PhoneHD, with a higher range of features and functionality, and ensuring control over the newest solutions in the market. The PhoneHD can be easily managed and administered from the cloud.
