Who are VideoCentric?

VideoCentric is an independent integrator of the world’s leading video conferencing and collaboration systems alongside cloud-telephony, room booking, and hot-desking solutions. Established in 2001 by shareholders David Shimell and Craig Brown, VideoCentric’s staff have extensive experience in video communications dating back to 1982, making the Company one of the most knowledgeable in its field.

The rise of hybrid working, from the home through to design studios, meeting rooms, training facilities, classrooms, medical MDT meeting rooms, boardrooms, seminar facilities, and live event spaces has increased the demand for recording, streaming, digital signage, booking systems, and cloud telephony integration. VideoCentric supplies SMEs, corporate enterprises and public sector organisations, designing, building, supporting, managing, and optimizing video-based collaboration solutions based on specific business goals and desired outcomes. VideoCentric selects the best-in-class technologies from around the world, for native connection to Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, Google Meet and integrates them with telephony platforms from RingCentral and 8x8 and integrates them with older SIP-based solutions. For those looking to extend the life of existing investments based on Polycom, Cisco, Tandberg, Lifesize, Starleaf, BlueJeans and Vidyo, VideoCentric was the UK’s first appointed Pexip reseller in the UK and their CVI licences provide for a managed migration path to fit in with budget considerations.

VideoCentric bundles together BYOM and BYOD solutions for those preferring to maintain flexibility for hybrid workers to bring their own Windows laptop, Macbook, NUC, Tablet, or Smartphone into a meeting room to host their meeting from. To facilitate this, VideoCentric specialises in digital webcams, optical PTZ cameras, Android video bars, professional headsets and echo-free audio systems, as well as integrating with single, dual, or triple displays that suit a room's size and shape. Multiple AI cameras with networked microphones and speakers are expected to rise in importance in 2024, especially in large meeting spaces and divisible boardrooms. VideoCentric is already demonstrating such technologies and offers pre-sale consultancy, in-house installation, technical support, and post-sale maintenance services to ensure state-of-the art solutions for next generation meeting rooms are exciting and modern yet still reliable and properly supported.

The company boasts the UK's most comprehensively equipped demonstration suite for Teams and Zoom Rooms, featuring virtually every system from Yealink, HP/Poly, Logitech, Lenovo and Neat, as well as Cisco products certified for SIP, Webex and Teams. These are complimented by Huddly & Aver cameras together with installed audio from Nureva and Biamp. Microsoft Signature Teams Room functionality is the latest addition for 2023-4. VideoCentric provides in-house installation and support services throughout the UK, offering same-day remote demonstrations and comparisons. Short-notice demonstrations can also be booked in London, Edinburgh, Leeds, and Thames Valley demo suites. For customers with an existing TV, VideoCentric will supply systems based on 30-days “try/buy”. Whatever the solution, VideoCentric does not regard downtime as acceptable in today’s modern world of hybrid working, so its own technical support helpdesk and engineers operate Gold and Platinum service level agreements (SLAs) to significantly improve on the "Best Efforts" return-for-repair warranty offerings of many other suppliers who are solely reliant on overseas manufacturers or distribution warehouses for spare and repairs.
