Customer Installations: From Grade II Listed Buildings to Sleek & Stylish Boardrooms

For over 15 years, our team of experienced and accredited installers have been involved in some of the most exciting, unusual and bespoke installations within meeting rooms and collaboration spaces, alongside providing organisations of all shapes and sizes with exceptional quality installations of Video Conferencing equipment, AV & Collaborative technology however simple or challenging the requirements may be.

Here, we share a couple of examples of recent installations carried out by VideoCentric, to give you an idea of what can be possible in your meeting space, without breaking the bank.

From Modern, Sleek, Stylish…

For many clients, it is of extreme importance that their boardrooms and meeting spaces give a perception of class;  a solution with elegant, sleek and stylish aesthetics that fits with the organisation’s brand, alongside being robust, highly functional and user friendly…all to meet a tight budget, of course.

One of our international financial customers recently appointed us to design, specify and install a Video Collaboration solution into their meeting spaces, that could be used to reduce travel across the Atlantic and to improve the ability for distant & remote teams to share ideas, meet with customers and hold regular board & review meetings.

This modern fit out was designed to provide high quality collaboration tools that were simple to use and could share the highest quality audio, video and data in real-time, across the globe. The work carried out by our expert team included:

  • Video Conferencing & Collaboration technology design, surveys, specification & installation
  • Room design – complete specification & design of bespoke glass walls, cupboards, recesses & other furniture
  • Hidden codecs, speakers & wireless data sharing technology integration
  • Design & implementation of specialised integrated audio technology

The organisation’s meeting rooms have been kitted out with Cisco MX700 dual screen collaboration systems, with integrated wireless datasharing technology, 9 “invisible” speakers and a in-house designed & programmed audio system to meet exact customer specifications & needs. VideoCentric built the white glass panelled wall with recess, which integrates hidden storage cupboards and houses all the bespoke technology.

“The team did an outstanding job from beginning to end, taking into consideration all the needs of the room and implementing them in a way that is simple and cost-effective.”

…to traditional, Grade II listed Restoration

For some clients, projects are much more unusual and a completely bespoke design is required. This unusual installation took part at a Royal College, where the challenge was to install Video Conferencing equipment into a grade II listed building, whilst greatly improving the current AV equipment that had been previously installed in one of the spaces.

BEFORE…

The room had a large display above a fireplace, that had sadly been bricked and boarded up, with cables visible, and had damaged the aesthetics and history of this beautiful listed space.

Before VideoCentric Installation into Grade II listed building

VideoCentric discussed the requirements for AV & collaboration with the college, but also made a rather unusual proposal to keep in line with restoration of historic features within a building of this type. VideoCentric’s expert designers and installers proposed implementation of an original antique fireplace, uniquely modified so it would also  house and hide the Video Communications equipment, alongside in-house designed & manufactured bi-folding screen cupboard, in keeping with other features and cupboards within the room.

This unique solution meant the room could be transformed through the ages within a matter of seconds – a project demonstrating our teams ability to take into consideration much more than just the installation Video Conferencing and AV equipment. The work by our team included:

  • Careful research & proposal for integration into a historic listed building
  • Design & installation of antique restored fireplace and design, manufacturer & install of antique style bi-fold cupboards
  • Removal of poorly installed ageing equipment and building work
  • Integration of Video Conferencing codec & audio system built into fireplace
  • Integration of solution with VideoCloud 365 Video Conferencing service

“We are amazed at the difference that has been achieved in these meeting rooms. The attention to detail and the execution of the project has been outstanding.”
