Description - VCON IPNexus

IPNexus is a secure instant messaging and data collaboration application that helps you communicate and work more efficiently across geographic, departmental and organizational boundaries. Instant messaging allows employees to communicate quickly, getting answers instantaneously that might take several hours over other methods such as voice or e-mail, increasing productivity and efficiency. While in a chat session, employees can take advantage of the built-in ability to collaborate on documents, drawings, presentations, and even live video images.

IPNexus works the way people work, unscheduled and "ad-hoc," allowing any employee to add side bar conversations to conference calls or share a document instantaneously. Now satellite offices, telecommuters, customers, suppliers and anyone you choose can become part of your secure integrated collaborative environment.

Secure Instant Messaging
IPNexus addresses the concerns that many organizations have about using unsecure public servers for instant messaging so that it can become a viable communications tool.

IPNexus is a client/server application, so the server resides on your company's internal network, controlled by the IT department. If a user wishes to share a document with someone outside the network, they can take advantage of the IPWebShare feature, which allows them to share anything on their PC with anyone with a web browser. Also, since the IPNexus server is maintained and owned by the company, there is full control over who appears on the distribution list, providing confidence that the instant messaging application is being used only between people with access to the company network.

Integrated Collaboration
While in an instant messaging session, IPNexus allows you to hold an on-line meeting using the same tools you would have in a face-to-face meeting. Users can share documents with other IPNexus users by using the collaboration tools during an Instant Message. Or users can share documents with users outside the network, or who do not have IPNexus, by using the IPWebShare feature.

The IPWebShare feature allows a user to push Windows-based application data across the Internet. Anyone with a web browser can click on a pre-determined URL and instantly be viewing the shared content. Giving a presentation, demonstrating the functionality of a product, and showing live video are just some of the ways users can collaborate with IPNexus.. And because IPNexus is secure, all the documents that are shared remain confidential.
