The HD5000 is VCON's newest workgroup conferencing system that combines the versatility of a high-performance multimedia platform with high-quality videoconferencing. Utilizing the newest H.264 video standard, and clear, crisp audio, the HD5000 brings users face-to-face with the people and organizations they need to be in touch with. The HD5000 incorporates advanced data conferencing capabilities, allowing you to turn any video conference into a fully interactive workgroup meeting with the click of a button. As a multimedia workstation, your HD5000 investment can be utilized throughout the working day, even when it's not in a video conference

The HD5000 is part of VCON's total rich media conferencing solution, which enables seamless communication and collaboration using all forms of interactive media.

In addition to providing value as an advanced videoconferencing system, the VCON HD5000 can also be used as a high-performance multimedia workstation. In a small conference room with a single monitor, or a large training room with dual plasma displays, the HD5000 can be accessed to perform multiple functions. The HD5000 can be used during a meeting or training session to display presentations or VCR/DVD videos. When the VCON HD5000 is connected to the local area network, it can access network files to display during a video conference, or to share during a meeting. With its access to the Internet, the VCON HD5000 can be used to join a web data conference or instant messaging session; regardless of whether or not the system is in a video conference

For those customers that need both ISDN and a laptop plug-in option, there is the HD5500 which includes the base HD5000, ISDN support, the tabletop pod and a 3-speaker audio system, available at a bundled price.
